Audit

Reviews the financial records of the Society for accuracy and compliance with general accepted accounting principles. An audit performed just before the Annual meeting

Budget

Works with Treasurer to prepare the budget for the upcoming fiscal year and presents it to the membership for approval at the annual meeting.

By-Laws

Reviews and recommends changes as needed to update By-Laws.

CMFO Program

Reviews and processes member applications for CMFO Designation

Communications

Works with Secretary-Treasurer to maintain the Website & Blog. Tasks may include writing resource materials and preparing documents for posting. Maintaining the Membership Directory and preparing Newsletter Articles for the Blog.

Education Seminars

Oversees and assists board members or members, to organize various educational presentations in different localities for the purpose of networking with and continuing education for colleagues.

Fall School Gifts

Recommends to the Board the gift which will be given annually at the Fall Training School Registration Desk to each member attending, Secretary-Treasurer to handling payment of gift

Fall School Hospitality

Coordinates the Hospitality Room at the Fall Training School. Duties include working with hotel for ordering supplies and compliance with hotel regulations. Contacts numerous people to work and schedule same. Open and closed the hospitality hours and secures the room each night.

Fall School Planning

Shares ideas and makes recommendations to NYCOM committee at the Falls School Planning Session.

Fall School Registration Desk

Assists the Secretary-Treasurer with the desk at the Fall Training School. Duties include opening and closing the desk, as a well as checking on the coverage during open hours.

Legislative

Promotes current legislation and lobbies for new legislation. Represents the Society at the Legislative Session.

Membership

Markets the Society by contacting those Finance Officers that attended the Fall Training School but are not yet members.

Mentoring Program

Nominating

Seek members that are interested in becoming Board Members and recommends a slate of officers for the coming year to be presented for nomination at the annual meeting Election of Officers.

Thelma Pelych Advancement Award

Promotes the scholarship to our members that are furthering their professional education to enhance their duties as public officers. Recommends the scholarship recipients(s) from submitted applications to the Board.
